What materials are available for your bent bolts?

What is the lead time for custom fasteners?

Lead times vary based on material availability, complexity, shop backlog, and order size. Standard orders generally take 10-12 days for plain finish, & 3-4 weeks if coatings or platings are required. Specialty or bulk orders may require additional processing time.

What are the most common stock sizes you carry?

We stock a wide range of standard U-bolts, J-bolts, anchor bolts, and other bent fasteners, with bar diameters ranging from 1/4″ to 1” & inside widths up to 36”. Specific sizes can be confirmed upon request.

Do you offer coatings or finishes for corrosion resistance?

Yes! We provide finishes such as zinc-plating, hot-dip galvanizing, black oxide, Teflon® coatings, epoxy coatings, and SermaGard® to enhance corrosion resistance for different environments.

How do I choose the right Steel for my application?

What is a Pitch Diameter (PD) bar, and how does it differ from a full-size (FS) round bar?

A Pitch Diameter (PD) bar is a specialized round bar designed for thread rolling rather than cutting. Unlike a full-size round bar, where excess material is removed to create threads, a PD bar is slightly undersized, allowing threads to be rolled into the material rather than cut away.

What is the difference between rolled and cut threads?

Rolled threads are formed by compressing and reshaping the metal, maintaining its structural integrity and providing superior strength and durability. Cut threads are machined by removing material, allowing for precise customization.

Do you offer torque specifications for your bolts?

We can provide general torque guidance based on industry standards. However, specific torque values must be determined by the project’s engineering team, as they depend on material type, thread engagement, and application load factors.

How do your coatings affect the longevity of the fasteners?

Coatings provide varying levels of corrosion resistance. Zinc-plating is suited for moderate protection, hot-dip galvanizing works well for outdoor use, and polymer coatings like Teflon® & SermaGard® offer superior chemical resistance.
